Made to conveniently carry a Bacho Laplander folding saw on your belt. It is suspended from the belt using a belt dangler and connected to the sheath using a brass ring. This enables the sheath to move freely, and prevents it getting in the way when sitting down, or bending over. The Laplander saw is a fantastic piece of kit, but it’s biggest flaw was that is was a pain to carry around, as it was a bit too big to fit comfortably in a trouser or jacket pocket, but needed to be readily available. So a belt worn sheath is the perfect addition! It can be worn on either side of the body, and it is finished in a rich brown mahogany colour. |

The Mora Clipper knife is a fantastic knife and I would argue it is all you need in a knife and it is the one I have carried on me for the past 5 years. It is easy to sharpen and maintain, and at less than a tenner to buy, I wouldn't be that upset if I damaged it in any way, unlike a £200 bushcraft knife. The sheath is made with a belt dangler just like the Laplander Sheath which allows you to sit without it digging into you and allows flexibility when drawing the knife. I make it with or without an integral ferro rod holder. The photo below is the sheath without the holder. See the photo below that for an idea of what it would look like with the ferro rod holder. It can be worn on either side of the body to suit left or right handed people. Being right handed I prefer to wear the knife on my left hip and draw the knife accross my body using my right hand with the sharp edge facing forward, which I have been taught is the best way, but I know right handed people who are happy to wear the sheath on their right hip and have the sharp edge facing to the rear, so it's up to personal preference. It is finished in a mahogany brown to the same finish as all of my leather work. Just in case there is any doubt, the knife in the photo is not included! I do not sell knives only leatherwork. |
